About Me
I am Sahas, hailing from Chennai, India. I went to Bhavan's Rajaji Vidyashram for schooling and then studied Computer Science at VIT, Vellore, graduating in 2024. Growing up, I was always the person my family turned to for tech help, which kind of set me on this path.
On the work side, I have been into Frontend Development but I am comfortable jumping into backend work when needed. I learn constantly - whether it's through blogs, X/Twitter, research papers, or meetups. Back in college, I used to attend a lot of competitions; I participated in multiple hackathons and managed to win over 10 across different domains. Aside from attending I also got to organize events. One of my proudest moments was helping organize DEVSOC'23, which had around 500+ participants in an offline setup.
I genuinely prefer working in person or hybrid setups. There's something about face-to-face collaboration that sparks better ideas and stronger team connections. If you're looking for someone who's passionate about building things, enjoys being part of communities, and thrives in collaborative spaces, I'd love to chat with you.
✨Stuff I Like
Featured Projects
Architected and developed the frontend for Remotify- a Phillipines based Employer-of-Record platform using a monorepo structure to streamline development and maintenance. Worked on important features on the frontend - implemented shared auth, client onboarding workflows, and addition of employees. Occasionally worked on backend services in Golang to support these features.
An AI chatbot powered by Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) which answers questions about me! It uses a personalized knowledge base stored in markdown files, combines vector similarity search with OpenAI's GPT models, and streams responses in real-time. Built to experiment with RAG, chunking, and modern AI orchestration techniques.
Developed the frontend for a vertical search engine designed to enhance agency discovery with advanced filtering by country, industry, and company size. I implemented real-time facet handling, ensuring that filter counts updated instantly as users applied or removed criteria. A key challenge was guaranteeing that the search page was always server-side rendered, delivering fast load times and optimal SEO performance. This project strengthened my understanding of Server side rendering, and pushed me to deliver a seamless user experience to work on applications with instant data updates.
Built for a startup in the US - GovGPT. It is a Generative AI threat detection system with a Next.js frontend, Python backend and WebRTC streaming. Frontend sends the stream and receives bounding boxes over websockets in real-time. Leveraged the power of WebSockets and WebRTC to ensure that the video stream and bounding boxes were in sync with low latency. The text based response generation is handled on the backend and exposed via a FastAPI endpoint which internally makes calls to OpenAI's API.
